Solasta 'Mac' McIntyre is, in a word, magical.

Mac is a therapist by day and artist by night. They are a queer, trans non-binary, neurodiverse, racialized white, seventh-generation American-European Gaelic settler raised on and living between the Western and Eastern coasts of Turtle Island.

Mac’s current business Full & Plenty Joy is all about helping folx reconnect with their magic and heal their relationships with their bodies, ancestry, creativity, and “dance baggage” in order to access their authentic expression.

Mac says, “My work is all about re-sourcing ourselves in the light so we may journey into the dark to remember those lost, stolen, severed parts of ourselves that we need to reintegrate in order to feel into our expansive infinite wholeness. This wholeness is power. This wholeness is magic.”

Folx can know when something is blocking their access to their magic by rebuilding a relationship with their body, their creativity, and their ancestry. Just like creativity and magic, trauma and pain can manifest in a limitless amount of ways.

Because we learn through stories and relationships, Mac focuses much of their work on storytelling and culture building, and teaching others how to do the same. Their most foundational modalities that are also large seas of possibilities in their own regards, are music and dance.

“Dance is embodied storytelling,” Mac tells me. “It’s a way to move energy and thus integrate our survival parts in a creatively constructive way. It’s a portal to connection with others through mutually beneficial exchange and mirroring, two essential experiences for relationships rooted in reciprocity, safety, and play; experiences many humans do not get because of the unresolved impacts of intergenerational trauma and societal oppressions.”

All this contributes to creating Mac’s vision of a world where there is more dancing, interconnection, and unrestricted joy.

Even the most magical business can become overwhelming to create and run when one is doing it alone. Mac came to me for help with grounding and clarifying their services and creating a website where Full & Plenty Joy can thrive online.

“Working with you helped me take myself and my ideas seriously as someone who struggles with imposter syndrome and ‘what if’ anxieties,” Mac says. “Because of how my brain works, I really need a proper sounding board, cheerleader, and co-conspirator when I get these big idea desire downloads. Maggie helped me through all these and helped me remember my magic.”

Team MG worked with Mac to create a beta version of their site. We assisted Mac with copywriting for their site and also setting up automation for workshops and a content schedule they could work with. Mac found they enjoyed the process of passing a Google Doc back and forth, which built in them a generative energy as something in their business was being birthed into physical reality.

Mac also says, “Outside of those knitty gritty things, Maggie helped me just have someone to talk things through and also set real live deadlines for talking about my work to the world and actually sharing it with the world.”

Building a place for their business to live online helped Full & Plenty Joy grow its presence in the world and become more visible. Mac’s podcast got more listens and their email list grew just with the beta site. They can now talk more succinctly about their business and even feel more confident saying they own a business. Those of us who have experienced imposter syndrome can relate!

It’s been incredible to witness Mac’s growth and evolution, and I can’t wait to watch Full & Plenty Joy blossom!

Mac would like to leave you with an invitation:

“I am in a spiral of my creatrix journey where I have plenty of space for collaborations, teaching, work trading, performing and mentoring. If anything from my journey and work sparked something inside you I would so love to connect and explore how we might learn from and support one another. In other words, don’t be a stranger and let’s create magic!”
