Lauren Hubele on Taking Ownership of Our Healing

When I first met Lauren Hubele, her convictions about health and our bodies’ power to heal rocked me to my core. It felt like she was able to speak to a truth that I knew to be valid but that had laid dormant in me. As I learned more about her and her philosophy, I realized that to be her superpower—she can speak to the parts within all of us that know what it takes to heal ourselves. Hers is a quiet revolution of remembering that our connection to the plant world invites us into deeper connection with ourselves.

“Health does not mean ‘symptom free’,” Lauren says. “It means resilience in the face of whatever comes your way.”

Lauren practices and teaches a branch of homeopathic medicine called Gemmotherapy, which is based on utilizing the growth hormone-rich new growth of certain trees to stimulate our body’s natural healing abilities, and thereby take charge of our own healing in a way that modern medicine often doesn’t allow.

Gemmotherapy is an ancient art. Lauren says, “I believe Gemmotherapy is the bridge that can reconnect us with our ancestors and remind us how to care for our bodies and the plant kingdom our health is dependent upon.”

But her work is about more than easing symptoms or even healing from physical or emotional ailments: it’s about developing faith in your body’s ability to heal, and in your ability to trust yourself when it comes to your own healing.

While she’s always been deeply passionate about health and healing, Lauren learned the true power of claiming our ability to heal and grow firsthand.

“Around my 40th birthday several things happened that, when lined up, changed the course of my life,” she told me. “I lost two very dear friends, both my age, leaving behind young children. I left my first marriage and began seeking a life more aligned with my dreams and values. I met my soulmate and was diagnosed with melanoma cancer while expecting my third child. It was a lot! In that period, my feet were planted on a path that I am still on today, reclaiming my sovereignty, and forming a continuously deeper connection with self and the world I inhabit.”

Creating a Plan That Fits

A big part of that path was expanding her Gemmotherapy practice and education.

We all know that feeling of getting stuck in the bigness of our dreams and struggling to find the next steps or the next right thing.

Lauren found that, while she knew what she wanted, her dreams and plans for realizing them had gotten a bit unruly and difficult to manage on her own. This is where our work together began: with seeking clarity around Lauren’s vision and next steps.

“Maggie’s ability to ask powerful questions helped me free up more time to consider what I really want,” Lauren says. “You know how a favorite sweater can get all stretched out of shape with use, and then you wash it with care and shape it, it’s like new all over? The same thing happens over time with my vision. After a time of working, working, working, I reach a point where I say ‘wait a minute, where am I going?’ Then I meet with Maggie and my vision is back knitted tight and looking shapely once again. I also feel smarter with a sweater that fits well!”

Clarity leads to a more focused, more effective execution. This is the beauty of Thought Partnership and collaboration!

Lauren says “Maggie has helped take what I do out of my head and the squidgy words I would use to describe it and give it enough context to spark curiosity instead of running screaming!

Seriously, we saw a tangible increase in sales of our product once Maggie’s team improved our SEO.”

Clarity and Collaboration Leads to Spaciousness

A more free-flowing business helps Lauren create the life of spaciousness she desires, and allows her to empower others to do the same.

Lauren now has a smooth-running vehicle to support herself and bring her message of healing, autonomy, and joy to her students and clients.

“I want to live a life with spaciousness, in my day, in my creative work, in my relationships, and visually in my home and garden. With spaciousness we can be agile and adjust course as needed.”
